NHLPA Announces Dates of Salary Arbitration Hearings

The National Hockey League Players Association announced on Monday, the dates for the salary arbitration hearings between the restricted free agents and their respective clubs. 

The hearings will take place in Toronto, Ontario between July 20 and August 4, 2016. 

The first day of hearings on July 20^th will feature three players getting their chance to plead their cases to the mediator. Those three players include, Jaden Schwartz of the St. Louis Blues, Alex Killorn of the Tampa Bay Lightning and Marcus Johansson of the Washington Capitals. 

The next day it will be the New York Rangers and Dylan McIlrath. On July 22, Mikhail Grigorenko of the Colorado Avalanche and Chris Kreider of the Rangers will get their hearings. July 25^th the hearings of Brayden Schenn of the Philadelphia Flyers and Peter Holland of the Toronto Maple Leafs. 

On July 26, the Maple Leafs and Frank Corrado are scheduled to present their cases to the mediator. Jordan Schroeder of the Minnesota Wild and Kevin Hayes of the Rangers will meet with the arbitrator the next day. Also scheduled for July 27, is the Detroit Red Wings elected arbitration with goaltender Petr Mrazek. 

July 28 features Danny DeKeyser of the Red Wings. On July 29^th, three more of the players will present their cases to the arbitrator; Tyson Barrie of the Avalanche, Jordan Weal of the Flyers and Vladislav Namestnikov of the Lightning.

The cases on August 2^nd include Martin Marincin of the Maple Leafs, Brandon Manning of the Flyers and J.T. Miller of the Rangers. On August 3^rd, Petter Granberg of the Nashville Predators gets his case heard. 

The final day of cases on August 4^th will be Mike Hoffman of the Ottawa Senators, Calle Jarnkrok of the Predators and Michael Stone of the Arizona Coyotes. 

The teams and players continue to have the right to try and reach an agreement with each other before their scheduled hearing date and avoid having to battle each other in front of the mediator.
