The 26-year-old Manning was scheduled to have an
arbitration hearing on August 2 if the two sides were not able to reach an
agreement. This past season the blue liner scored one goal and six assists in
56 games for the Flyers.
His one goal on the 2015-2016, was the first National Hockey
League tally of his career. It also turned out to be a game winning goal
against the New York Islanders on March 21. In the team’s six Stanley Cup
Playoff games in the first round against the President’s Trophy Winning
Washington Capitals, he added one helper.
Through four seasons with Philadelphia, Manning has put up
one goal and 11 assists in 77 NHL games. Prior to the Flyers, he spent four
seasons with their American Hockey League affiliate the Lehigh Valley Phantoms,
where he scored 31 goals and 83 assists in 244 AHL games.
Manning originally signed with Philadelphia as a free agent,
on November 23, 2010 after playing four years with the Chilliwack Bruins of the
Western Hockey League. Following the resigning of Braydon Schenn, on Monday,
and Jordan Weal, on July 11, Manning was the final restricted free agent for the
Flyers.

The Maple Leafs avoided arbitration with two of their restricted free agents as well. On Monday, the Maple Leafs announced that they signed forward Peter Holland and defenseman Frank Corrado to one-year deals.
Holland’s deal is worth 1.3 million-dollars for the upcoming
season. He went unclaimed on waivers over the weekend. The former first-round
selection, scored nine goals and 18 assists, in 65 games, for the Maple Leafs during
the 2015-2016 campaign.
In 195 games between Toronto and the Anaheim Ducks, he has
compiled 30 goals and 39 assists.
Corrado, 23, scored one goal and five assists from the blue
line, in 39 games, for Toronto last season, while being assessed 26 penalty
minutes.
The Leafs claimed Corrado off the waiver wire, from the
Vancouver Canuks this past October. The Toronto native was selected by the
Canuks in the fifth round of the 2011 NHL Draft.
In 67 games between the Canuks and the Maple Leafs, he has
scored three goals and five assists with 30 penalty minutes.
The Minnesota Wild also announced on Monday that they signed center Jordan Schroeder to a one-year deal. Schroeder was the only Wild player to file for arbitration over the summer.
In 26 games with Minnesota last season, the 26-year-old,
scored two goals and two assists. He also added a goal in two playoff games. In
40 games with the Iowa Wild of the AHL, he put up 14 goals and 20 assists.
The Lakeville, Minnesota native was drafted by the Canuks in
the first round of the 2009 NHL Draft, following two years at the University of
Minnesota.
The Ducks also signed forward Stefan Noesen to a one-year, two-way deal. He appeared in one game in each of the past two seasons for Anaheim, after acquiring him from the Ottawa Senators in 2013.
The Senators selected him in the first round of the 2011 NHL
Draft, and he has spent the past three seasons in the AHL, with the Norfolk
Admirals and San Diego Gulls. This past season he scored 32 points in 65 games
with the Gulls.
The 23-year-old, Texas native’s career has been riddle with
injury. During the 2013-2014 he missed most of the season with torn ligaments
in his knee and then in 2014-2015 he missed about four months, after have his Achilles
tendon nearly severed, accidently by an opponent’s skate blade.
The New York Rangers also announced that they signed defenseman, Sergey Zborovskiy to his entry-level contract on Tuesday. He was selected by New York in the third round of the 2015 NHL Draft.
In 64 games with the Regina Pats of the WHL, he scored eight
goals and 17 assists, with a plus-15 rating. The 19-year-old set a WHL career-high
in goals, assists, points and power-play goals (2). He also tied his plus-minus
rating in the WHL.
The six foot four, 200-pound defenseman, played in 12 post
seasons games in the WHL this past year where he added five assists. In 135 WHL
games, over two seasons, he has scored 11 goals and 33 helpers for Regina.
